The Hurricane Ridge Ski and Snowboard Area is located in the beautiful Olympic National Park.  At almost a mile high, Hurricane Ridge offers spectacular winter recreation and activities on the North Olympic Peninsula, and features winter vistas unmatched anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. This is a small, family oriented ski area, offering to Olympic Peninsula residents  and visitors a quality winter sports experience, without the high cost and congestion of most ski areas.  The Ridge boasts some groomed areas, but for the accomplished skier or snowboarder the steeps, bowls and glades are well worth the hikes to get there. With a summit elevation of 5,240 feet, there is generally an annual snowfall of 400-plus inches.

Current Notices

Thanks for a great season at Hurricane Ridge. We were a little low on snow, but still had lots of smiling faces up there enjoying weekends in the Olympics!

The lifts are closed for the season, see you next year!

The road will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting until mid-May, then is scheduled to open 7 days a week.

Be sure to call 360-565-3131 for updated conditions, before heading up to the Ridge.   The National Park requires that chains be carried in all vehicles during winter season.
